We sincerely thank donors who take the time to provide resources for our classroom.
Reading is the cornerstone of our classroom. Guest readers are welcome, as are gently-used book donations.
Anytime a community member or parent wants to share experise in the classroom, we are more than ready to listen. Learning how to speak in front of an audience is an important 21st century skill.
While it may be cliche, "Teamwork makes the dream work," rings true in our classroom. We believe in working as a community and strive to embed collaborative skills in a CoVid-crazy world.
Through the use of S.M.A.R.T. goals and a focus on the development of a growth mindset, students strive to overcome the barriers of a fixed mindset.
Projects such as blackout poetry, acrostics on Teams, and multi-genre research help steer learners into unchartered territories and provide opportunities to think outside the box.
Setting reading goals is a major part of our classroom. We use rich, high-interest texts to engage us as we explore the jargon expected of English learners.
